YOUR BABY’S FIRST STARRING ROLE
Babies, I cannot tell you how excited I am that there are grandchildren happening in our family. I’ve always adored babies and children and would have had six if I’d started earlier. My table seats fourteen and I’m very happy to fill it with little people.
Welcoming a child into your fold is a time to bring together friends and family who will guide and guard your child through life. Traditionally this was done through a christening to protect the child and welcome the child into god’s fold. You may not be religious but still hold to the notion that it takes a community to raise and protect a child.
As a Celebrant, I can help you plan a celebration for your child to welcome them into your community of family and friends. We can talk through if you want to acknowledge anyone to hold a special place in your child’s life and how they might be referred to. As part of the ceremony we can announce your child’s name and speak of why you have chosen the name.
I can provide you with some ideas for planning your ceremony and guide you through making it the right mix of seriousness and fun. If you are wanting a memento for your bub’s keepsake box I will make a special certificate. There are also certificates for those people you are honouring with a special role in your child’s life.
If you have an Asian background then celebrating your baby’s 100th day may be what you are thinking. I love this as a celebration and understand some of the wonderful symbolic rituals we might use. Let me help you blend your Australian and Asian heritage into something unique. Don’t miss a time to wish your baby good health, happiness and success and a life that stretches into 100 years.

Life Celebrations
EVERY REASON TO CELEBRATE
There are a whole lot of other life moments that you might want to recognise where I could help. These could be a special birthday or anniversary, retirement, the death of a family pet and the merging of a new family. I would be delighted to help you make this happen.
Merging families come in all shapes but all are to be valued. If you are thinking about a way to mark and acknowledge a blended family contact me to talk through how this might be handled. It could be a simple part of your wedding or commitment ceremony where the kids are included or it might be a stand-alone ceremony. This is something that has to be handled with sensitivity but it is still something to celebrate .Whatever we plan I will help you and your children create an occasion that holds or the laughter and joy of your family.
I’m also getting into that part of life when there are significant birthdays and big anniversaries. Sometimes you want to hide from it and pretend it’s not happening but other times you might be wanting to draw together a crowd and throw a big party.
