CAPTURING YOUR LOVE STORY WITH WARMTH, HUMOUR AND JOY

I want your marriage ceremony to be deliriously happy, romantic and about you. You shouldn’t feel any extra pressure worrying about the ceremony in the lead up or on the day. I want to see your family and friends laugh and sometimes tear up and feel tremendously sentimental. I want them to be in your love story and in the moment when you exchange your vows.  Simply, I want this to be the best day of your life so far.

Working with my couples usually starts over warm cake and something to drink sitting in my garden. Sadly, anyone captive in our house is offered food. Our first meeting is all about you being reassured and having confidence I can do your wedding in your style and tone. We go through all the different things you might include in your ceremony, the things you’ve imagined and the things you definitely don’t like.

The next time we meet, either in your home or mine, we go through all the legal bits you need to know and sign. I begin interviewing you both to write your love story for your wedding. In the lead up your wedding I will provide guidance and help around writing your vows and staging the ceremony. You’re able to use my collection of wedding resources – books, music, poems  –  in the search for the perfect elements for your weddings.

I’ve married couples in all sorts of settings and from six people to the big numbers.  I’ve followed the dress code from glamorous disco diva to winter casual. I always get laughter and hugs and that’s my reward.

Sometimes I may not be familiar with your cultural background but I do my research and homework. When I was challenged to find an Indian feminist poet who wrote love poems I found her and the Bride’s mum’s smile was huge. Last year, I spent a week learning a Chinese wedding blessing, in Mandarin, to the delight of my couple’s family and friends who spoke little English. I will go to great lengths to ensure your wedding is right for you, is welcoming and loving for all those involved.

COVID challenges can make planning your wedding hell. I am here to make it work for you. I will not charge you a rescheduling fee if the change of date, time and venue is necessary because of Government enforced restrictions in response to COVID 19. I will work with you to find an alternate date that fits both our diaries.

If you choose me as your Marriage Celebrant you’ll have someone devoted to making your day perfect.

Quickie Marriages - An Intimate Wedding without Fuss

AS CLOSE AS YOU GET TO ELOPING IN AUSTRALIA

Our family home sits close to Melbourne city and is filled with warmth and love. For couples looking to elope or wanting just a quiet wedding I invite you to consider something more intimate and personal than the Registry Office.

In your own time, weekday or weekend, day or evening, you can be married in my beautiful garden in a ceremony that takes no more than 15 minutes. The focus will be on your vows, the legal bits and nothing more.

When you finish, if you want,  there will be sparkling wine or homemade cordial and a slice of freshly baked cake.

You can bring your two witnesses or I can find two willing adults to help us out. For this type of wedding we would meet once, at least one month before, to complete the Notice of Intent to Marry, and again on your wedding day. I will provide you with all the guidance you need to marry as simply as possible.

Commitment and Recommitment Ceremonies

Different ways of acknowledging your love

For those couples who are celebrating a special anniversary or who may have been unable to share their wedding day with family and friends I offer a Commitment or Recommitment Ceremony. It may also be that you want to express your love and partnership through acknowledgement that is less formal and legally binding than a marriage.

Together we will work through all the elements that you have in mind, and explore some you may not have thought of, to create a ceremony that is about you and your partner. If there are children or other friends or family members you would like involved I can give you some ideas of how we might do that.

Some couples would like a certificate to commemorate the occasion and this is something I can easily produce, ready to be framed or kept as a memento.

A Commitment or Recommitment Ceremony can be as simple or as extravagant as you imagine. When we work through your ideas you’ll have my knowledge as an event manager to draw from.
