Loved-Up Testimonials

When you’re searching for the right Celebrant for your ceremony it helps to have some insight into how your Celebrant is likely to perform on the day. These are a few reviews from some of the lovely couples I have married. Many thanks to them for allowing me to share their comments and photos.

“Sharon, you took our wedding guests on our beautiful journey. With really tender moments, warm humour, and a couple of happy tears, it was magic. Our guests still talk about how beautiful our ceremony was.”

Our dear Sharon,

Where do I even begin. I honestly think it was fate! You were always meant to be our celebrant. From the moment Luke and I met you, we felt safe, warm, and genuine care. Sharon you welcomed us into your home (and arms) and guided us through what would normally be an overwhelming part of wedding planning

Over delicious cake, coffee, and tea from your garden we knew it was you, Sharon who was to marry us. Sharon you had the most meticulous eye for detail, and were beyond organised. From the start of our planning through to the rehearsals, through to the ceremony the process was extremely smooth. Almost too smooth, it was an incredible feeling!!

Sharon you took our wedding guests on our beautiful journey. With really tender moments, warm humour, and a couple of happy tears, it was magic. Our guests still talk about how beautiful our ceremony was. Sharon you were flawless, and I'm still so grateful it you who got to marry us. It's a memory we will hold in our hearts forever! Thank you Sharon, for everything !!!

So much love to you <3 xxxx

“We had a magnificent night and nothing to worry about with you in control of setting up our ceremony. The ceremony was awesome, with the words just right. It captured our story and love for each other perfectly- everyone commented how wonderful it was.”

From day 1 we knew that Sharon was going to be the perfect celebrant for us.

Her preparation for the big event was seamless. Her guidance in every step of the process, such as providing suitable readings options, order of service and coaching for our vows was very helpful.

Sharon's insight into us and what we felt for each other came out in the ceremony she wrote for the day.  The ceremony went superbly, and our friends and family made many positive comments about how beautiful and magical it was. A very talented Celebrant which we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Thanks Sharon, Iain and Audrey

“We loved hearing Sharon tell our story with humour and grace, and really appreciate that she was such an important part of our day.”

We were lucky enough to have Sharon as our marriage celebrant for our wedding at the start of April 22. What could have been an extremely stressful day was made so easy through Sharon's thorough, professional and polished process. We really enjoyed getting to know Sharon, and having her get to know us, in a casual environment in her own home, with freshly baked cake and beautiful cheese.

The ceremony itself was perfectly tailored to our wishes. Sharon was very attentive to the casual and light-hearted style we were after, and was very adaptable with our somewhat unpredictable 1-yr old! We loved hearing Sharon tell our story with humour and grace, and really appreciate that she was such an important part of our day.

“She was able to conduct two very unique and personalised ceremonies, each felt equally special in our eyes.”

Sharon is an exceptional celebrant, and really delivered more than we asked for on the day. Sharon came to planning meetings with me, so on the day I didn't need to stress about the setup as she had everything covered. Sharon helped us navigate cancellations due to Covid, followed by an intimate immediate family only wedding in 2021 which concluded with the big wedding in 2022. She was able to conduct two very unique and personalised ceremonies, each felt equally special in our eyes. Sharon is generous with her time, and her homemade cakes. Thank you for a very professional service, whilst feeling like a friend through the highs and lows of 2021.

“Sharon was able to accommodate all our needs and beautifully piece together a meaningful and light-hearted ceremony which celebrated our core family values, love and future aspirations for our daughter.”

We were looking for a unique way to celebrate our daughters first birthday and decided to combine her special day with a naming ceremony, which also included a blessing, traditional prayers, the appointment of two sets of legal guardians and to everyone’s surprise - Four Godfathers! Sharon was able to accommodate all our needs and beautifully piece together a meaningful and light-hearted ceremony which celebrated our core family values, love and future aspirations for our daughter. Sharon was very professional and focused on accuracy, precision and presentation, especially when it came to creating personalised certificates and keepsake booklets written by the godfathers to our daughter. Her attention to detail and continuous communication was wonderful and gave us a sense of ease and calm in the lead up to the event. Thanks Sharon for helping us create a memorable day! Cassie

Sharon is an extraordinary woman and we are so thankful we chose her to be a part of our intimate nuptials. Our ceremony was wonderful, Sharon made it personalised to us and our personalities. She created an intimate setting in her beautiful garden and thought about all the visual details. Sharon goes above and beyond collecting details and making sure that the service is unique to you. Any questions or issues, Sharon will guide you with helpful information and support. We feel blessed to have such a stylish yet professional woman marry us making every element special. Thank you Sharon!! Xx

“We are so grateful to have had such a guiding light for our families and friends on our wedding day...”

Sharon brought our wedding together with warmth and grace, and an incredible talent for creating a welcoming atmosphere. We were so lucky to have her guidance on the day, and in the lead-up. The ceremony Sharon curated, based on our discussions, expressed exactly what we had hoped for and was personal and inclusive. We are so grateful to have had such a guiding light for our families and friends on our wedding day, and most of all, for us! Thank you Sharon!! xxx

“From our first conversation with Sharon we felt we were in safe hands.”

From our first conversation with Sharon we felt we were in safe hands. We wanted a ceremony that was heartfelt but showed our sense of humour, a mix of traditional meets modern and we definitely wanted to write our own vows but had no idea how to ask for this. Sharon guided us through the process of legal documentation, song choices, readings, the order of proceedings, etc. She was always prompt in communications and set hard deadlines which she knew we needed (we are last-minute kind of people). It has been 3 months since our wedding and every time we speak about our wedding with either set of parents their first comment is about how great the ceremony was and how wonderful Sharon was at the rehearsal and on the day. Thank you so much Sharon for making our wedding dream a reality!

“Our original wedding plans were disrupted as a result of Covid, however Sharon moved heaven and earth to make sure that we had a wonderful celebration, regardless.”

Our original wedding plans were disrupted as a result of Covid (the recent 5 day lockdown in February), however Sharon moved heaven and earth (and a yoga session) to make sure that we had a wonderful celebration, regardless. We ended up pulling the wedding a day forward (with about 2 hours notice) which wouldn't have been possible without her. Sharon was a (much needed) calming influence for us, both on the day and in the leadup to our wedding. Although we relied on her organisational prowess and professionalism throughout, it was the personal touch that really endeared her to us and made our day even more special. We can't recommend Sharon highly enough - we'll be ever grateful to have had her help us celebrate.

“She took the time to get to know us and wrote a beautiful ceremony that spoke to our particular story…”

[Syrie] Sharon was a wonderful support throughout the wedding process. She took the time to get to know us and wrote a beautiful ceremony that spoke to our particular story, interests, and love for each other. She is supremely organised and her confident management of the ceremony and liaison with the wedding venue was a great help both in the lead-up and on the day. We would most eagerly recommend Sharon - she is thoughtful, kind and creative and a fantastic person to help guide you through your special day.

“She is generous, light-footed, funny, and thorough.”

[Chris] Sharon came extremely highly recommended through a most discerning friend, and our friend's high standards were most certainly met by the lovely Sharon. She is generous, light-footed, funny, and thorough. Flexible with any request, clear with the legal stuff, and a deep-thinker on the history and institution of marriage, Sharon is considerate, experienced, and not only great company but commanding in front of a crowd. She took the time to get to know us, wrote a charming and buoyant ceremony, managed our music with a delightful wedding elf as well as wrangling venue staff, welcoming wedding guests and guiding us with aplomb, quiet certainty, and ease. Phew. What a gift! I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

“Her background in events means she was very aware of all the little details no one would think of – but that helped make the ceremony run smoothly.”

We would highly recommend Sharon as a wedding celebrant.

Sharon took the time to really get to know us in order to be able to share our story with our friends and family. In planning the ceremony with her, she didn’t impose any rigid or formulaic structure (apart from the legal parts) and was very flexible in her approach.

Her background in events means she was very aware of all the little details no one would think of – but that helped make the ceremony run smoothly.

When we initially had to cancel our wedding two weeks out due to covid-19, Sharon was very understanding and supportive. She put so much effort into helping us try to work out all different possible plans in the new environment – she was determined to make the day perfect whatever the situation.

When we finally got to the day, Sharon was brilliant and we had lots of feedback about how well she performed her role as celebrant.

Thank you Sharon!

“By the time the day arrived it wasn't Sharon the "celebrant" marrying us, - it was more like our "friend" Sharon marrying us. And I guess that says it all.”

Let's face it, weddings are stressful things to organise, so many things to do and decisions to make. Choosing a Celebrant is one of the most important. After all they are the person who is going take control of those moments that matter the most - actually getting married!

From the moment we met Sharon she guided us gently and patiently through all the formal and informal details. During those early meetings her warmth, humour, empathy, and incredible home baking, put us completely at ease and enabled her to really get know us and understand the type of ceremony we wanted. Her attention to detail and organisational skills meant that everything went perfectly on the day.

The way she set the tone in welcoming our guests, how she personalised the ceremony to perfectly reflect our personalities, how she arranged the group photo at the end set the scene of a day that was full of love and fun.

Sharon was recommended to us and we now know why. By the time the day arrived it wasn't Sharon the "celebrant" marrying us, - it was more like our "friend" Sharon marrying us. And I guess that says it all.

“She took the time to chat with us, to drink with us and to laugh with us! She made such an effort to understand who we are and what was important to us.”

Sharon is one of the kindest souls we have been fortunate enough to meet. My partner and I didn’t know where to begin planning a wedding but thankfully Sharon was an absolute superstar and guided us through the whole process. She brings to the table a wealth of experience and her information packages (including tips for writing vows and preparation checklists) were invaluable. We felt like Sharon was really invested in our big day. She took the time to chat with us, to drink with us and to laugh with us! She made such an effort to understand who we are and what was important to us. It’s was her professionalism, attention to detail and genuine interest and enthusiasm that set her apart as an exceptional celebrant. Thank you Sharon (and to your lovely son Antonio) for making our special day perfect!

“Sharon was able to capture our story and share it with our guests in the most heart felt and fun.”

Sharon is one of the most warm, kind and generous people we have been lucky enough to know. Her commitment to not only us but the entire wedding to ensure that everyone had the best day possible was above and beyond our wildest exceptions. Sharon was able to capture our story and share it with our guests in the most heart felt, fun and professional way. Thank you Sharon for all that you did for us.

“Thank you Sharon for opening your home to us for our intimate and warm wedding party. It was very special to begin our journey together from your home.”

We have been to weddings at the Registry Office as guests but this was so much more personal. You went to so much effort to make our wedding cake and we felt your friendship. Our morning tea was delicious. We appreciate your support from the beginning of the planning process. What a pleasant surprise when you recited a famous Chinese poem in CHINESE. It was so touching to see how much effort you put into making our day extra special. We know we won't be needing the same service again, but we will definitely refer a friend. ^_^ Love you!

"We are both still floating on air after a perfect ceremony and celebration."

We have received lots of wonderful feedback from our family and friends about the wonderful job you did with the ceremony . We have also heard from people that didn't attend, saying that they heard it was the ceremony of the decade. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

“So many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony - saying it was just so happy and relaxed.

Thank you Sharon for all the time and effort you put into making our wedding a day to remember. You were very generous with your time (and distance travelled) in getting to know us so that you could tailor the wedding just for us.

So many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony - saying it was just so happy and relaxed. One even said it was the best ceremony he had ever been to. We will certainly never forgot it!

"Sharon, you made our day, that ceremony was beautiful."

Thank you very very very very very much. I know that we were not easy to wrangle but it was such a special day.

Sharon went far above and beyond her role as celebrant (even loaning personal belongings to decorate our reception). She really supported my partner and I through the organisation of our wedding. Having never been to a queer wedding as a guest, I was unsure of what the day should involve. Over wine and homemade cakes she helped us realise that our wedding day could be whatever we wanted it to be. My partner and I have been married for 6 months now and our friends and family regularly tell us that it was one of the best wedding they have been to, as well as how unexpectedly emotional they felt during the beautiful ceremony that Sharon curated. As we are both from European countries, Sharon involved our families in the ceremony through online platforms. We are both very, very grateful for all the help and support, Thanks Sharon.

"Sharon’s services are filled with warmth and personalised touches. We couldn’t imagine the wedding day without her!"

Sharon opened her home to us and demonstrated firsthand that feeding people is the way she shows care and love. On first meeting, we were presented with a slice of homemade blueberry tart and a glass of Rose. We knew we’d found someone special to help us with our wedding after one bite.

Sharon is not only an amazing baker, but also a talented storyteller. She drew our stories out of us in a relaxed conversational way and then wove it into something more special than we could have predicted. Her telling of our story felt special, warm and intimate. This was a sentiment shared by our family and guests too.

"When we renew our vows in 10 years we can't wait to have Sharon leading the charge again!"

Sharon, definitely provides more service, care and attention to detail than I ever expected that a celebrant could. From overcoming last minute changes and handling all ceremony arrangements like an absolute pro so all our other suppliers had a much easier seamless job, to the personal touches and consideration of our personalities and comfort.

We got the utmost most care, respect and sensitivity required for a same sex marriage, in regards to navigating terminology and dispelling gender based customs whilst still upholding traditions. (It helps to have someone who's part of the LGBTQI family like Sharon is). Not to mention, the incorporation, of my mixed heritage!

It was simply one of the most beautiful moments of our lives! Our friends and family have told us how moving and humorous it was, many saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended.

"I could not imagine a more perfect ceremony....loved every minute of it. The best day ever."

Your ability and background in events meant we had a great and easy to understand checklist before the event and during the event on the day. When people were emotional during speeches you gave the right amount of support to calm them and let them continue. And the delicious cake was an added bonus.

"Sharon we just wanted to thank you for creating a wedding ceremony that acknowledged our Chinese heritage and celebrated our life in Australia."

Our family, who travelled from China, were surprised and delighted when you spoke a few words in Mandarin and included Zhou Wenjun’s Chinese love poem. We really appreciated your deep understanding of Chinese culture and traditions. Your service is very personalised and the words you used during the ceremony were very touching.

Thanks for guiding us through the legal side of getting married and explaining all the different things we might include on our day.

Our wedding was a beautiful occasion and it made us and our families very happy.
